Make sure you are consulted
16 January 2008 London’s Primary Care Trusts have started a huge public consultation on the future of the capital’s healthcare, and the Save Whipps Cross campaign is urging all supporters to take part.
The consultation is based around the ideas in a document called “Healthcare for London: Consulting the Capital”, which in turn is heavily influenced by the report published last summer by health minister Professor Ara Darzi. It closes on 7 March.
You can get a copy of the detailed proposals by downloading it, or eamiling info@raffertys.co.uk. Alternatively, you can write to FREEPOST, Consulting the Captial (no stamp required).
As part of the consultation, there will be public meetings, organised as drop-in sessions around London. These include Waltham Forest (9 February, Selborne Walk, 9am to 5pm) and Redbridge (31 January, The Mall, Ilford, Level 2 near HMV, 9am tto 6pm).
For more details of the consultation process, visit http://www.healthcareforlondon.nhs.uk. The site also has information, documents...and some videos, too.
The campaign committee meeting on 5 February (Mrgaret Centre, Whipps Cross, 7.30 pm) will be discussion the consultation document. All welcome.
