Public meeting: SAVE WHIPPS CROSS! YOUR NHS – YOUR SAY!
Tuesday 18 September, 7.30 pm (doors open at 7.00 pm). Sir James Hawkey Hall, Broomhill Road, Woodford Green IG8 0BG. Disabled access and facilities. Organised jointly with Keep Our NHS Public.
Speakers include Dr Alan Hakim, Whipps Cross Consultant; Norma Dudley, Unite/Amicus and Health Visitor; Charlotte Monro, Unison and Occupational Therapist; and Professor Colin Leys, Honorary Professor at the Centre for International Public Health Policy, Edinburgh.
Consultation on the future of Whipps Cross Hospital, King George’s, and health services in outer north east London is now imminent, as A&E closures and radical changes are threatened across London.
Discuss how we can make our voices heard to ensure Whipps’s future as a fully functioning, fully funded general hospital and to defend vital community services and our NHS.
Download the leaflet for the meeting, which includes directions and a map.
